Bacteria

Look at bacteria.

Over time we create an equilibrium with them

where both of us co-exist alongside one another; and it’s a constant battle for supremacy; the boundaries are always changing, always fluctuating.

And sometime we’ll win a small victory.

And sometimes they’ll win a victory.

but in the end both sides need each other; they are the same thing.

And that’s how everyday life and relationships can be. You can only push out so far with your eyes and ears and your brain; like pushing your hands away from you in a pool to make a splash.

For a few brief moments, you’ve cleared the area in front of you of water. This is when things are going great; those quick glimpses of the beauty of life. It’s when you’ve set it all up to create a clearing, or maybe you haven’t done anything at all and things just fell into place in front of you.

It’s strange to think about all the people who spend almost every day of their lives doing something they don’t like so that a few people can sleep in the fluffiest beds.

It’s like a town full of people who spend their days building a safe to hold the mayor’s money.
